The Many Uses of Duct Tape

Ahh duct tape... The strong sticky friend of anyone with... uh... broken ducts?

At least that's what I guess it's mainly used for. But how often do you need to actually fix a duct!? C'mon. I'm willing to bet a case of beer (because that's the Canadian thing to do) that 95% of the duct tape you've ever purchased in your life actually went to other uses.

It is indeed great for repairs! But for many things! Just last week I managed to repair a hole in my jean pocket and a broken window on my car... just using duct tape. Worked like a charm!

But its uses go beyond even inept sewing capabilities and lazy automotive repair. Duct tape is so versitle and easy-to-use that there's bound to be hundreds of creative ways to put it to work.

There is. And you've shared some with me that I couldn't dream of. Check out your stories! (Click play below the photo)

Some stuff from Facebook:

Katie Krebs When I was is college my friends stayed up really late after I had gone to bed, and covered my entire doorway to my dorm room with a duct tape wall. So when I opened my door half asleep in the morning I was so stunned and disoriented! Then they yelled at me to run through it and had put the kitchen stools in front of it so I ran through and bailed hard :( not my best wake up!

Cory Clift Every year at Crystal Mountain, we have a cardboard and duct tape race on our family fun day, some people come up with very creative tobbogans and racers! One year I made a cardboard and duct tape snowboard!

Jim Nordquist While loading firewood my wife accidently slid a log through my truck back window,so i got pce plexy glass and ducted taped in,like 3 times cause it kept falling out,so i put 3 screws in it,then put more duct tape, its held for a yr so far,no leaks eithr

Lindsay Ferster my hubby duct taped our son to the wall once...our son thought it was hilarious!

Danielle Armsworthy fixed the huge rip at the bottom of my backpack with duct tape.. like a champ! (:
