Money in Strange Places
My friend Ryan has this superpower. He can find almost anything of some kind of value laying around on the street. You name it, he's probably stumbled on it. And in many cases, profited from it. One time he found free drink tickets at a concert. Another time he found a pair of brand new Rayban sunglasses. And one time he found money.
Actually, lots of times he found money. A loonie here, a toonie there, oh and that one time he found 2 twenty dollar bills outside his front door. Yup, 40 bucks. Just like that. Just layin' around like they never even loved that wallet. Like Queen Elizabeth and her twin sister somehow peaced out of the Monarchy and left Buckingham palace.
I'm sure there are better metaphors to use here, but you get the idea.
I find a bit of cash from time to time too. But if luck were a macaroni and cheese dish, Ryan's would be a four cheese bacon bake, and mine would be a box of KD. Still tasty, just not a magic carpet ride for your taste buds. But regardless of how much moolah you find, it's usually where you find it that's interesting.
Take my cousin. Found a 20 in the cat's litter box. She cleaned it up and used it at Starbucks.
And I think she took a little pleasure handing it to the girl who screwed up her order.
Anyhow, where's the oddest place you ever found a little scratch?
