Producer/arranger Nick DeCaro proves a wonderfully sympathetic foil, creating a series of sweet, poignant backings perfect for Longet's girlish vocals. Criticizing her failings as a singer means neglecting her talents as a stylist, and DeCaro clearly understands how to get the most from her unique presence.
