Devout fans of '70s soul will need an overview more extensive than this disc, but the budget-priced S.O.U.L. does contain all of the Delfonics' Top Ten R&B singles: "La-La (Means I Love You)," "Didn't I (Blow Your Mind This Time)," "You Got Yours and I'll Get Mine," "Trying to Make a Fool of Me," and "Over and Over." The remaining five cuts weren't picked at random, either, with "Ready or Not Here I Come (Can't Hide from Love)" as indelible as any of the group's more successful A-sides. As of 2012, the 1997 compilation La-La Means I Love You: The Definitive Collection remained the best single-disc Delfonics anthology.
