Echo & the Bunnymen folks are best served by buying the import "Lowdown" single first. Not only is "Lowdown" the calling-card slice needed to introduce properly, but its three non-LP flips are also way, way better than 90 percent of the
Burned album. "Holy Grail," "Land of the Dying Sun," and "Razor's Edge" are more subtle, more refined, and breathe more than the rest of the thick LP, and the hooks are bigger too. Someone here can't tell "A" from "B" material!
