Anglers beware: Conservation officers are checking licenses
Bodies of water are becoming crowded with anglers after the fishing season officially opened up at the beginning of April.
A reminder to anyone out on the open water looking to cast a line to have a fishing license.
Conservation Officer Ed Seitz says they will be out checking to make sure residents have not only their anglers licenses, but their boating certifications up to date as well.
"Kokanee seems to be a hot one in the Spring. A lot of people fish out on Okanagan Lake and do quite well at this time of the year."
A provincial fishing license is required by law.
