Hit by high voltage sends Kelowna man to hospital

A 35 year-old Kelowna man is in critical condition after being struck by high voltage from a ground wire.

The man was cycling in the June Spring Road area Thursday afteroon when the man touched a live ground wire.

The victim suffered sever burns and was rushed to hospital.

He was later air-lifted to Vancouver where he remains in critical condition.

It appears several ground wires in the area have been tampered with.

Fortis BC and the RCMP continue to investigate.
