Library Opens Saturday

The ground breaking ceremony November of 2010 - now ready for readers

5/4/2012

The shelves are full of books and crews have been working hard to put the finishing touches on Vernon's new 12.6-million dollar library in preparation for Saturday's opening.

ORL Spokesperson, Marla O'Brien says while there have been a few challenges with delays,  everyone's been working hard and they're ready to open the doors, but the official Grand Opening will be at a later date once they're settled in.
Vernon's library will be the most hi-tech in the system.

Head Librarian, Maureen Cury says they're happy to have the expanded space and provide a more complete library experience.

Two authors will be at the Library at 4pm Saturday afternoon as part of the opening day.
