Exotic cars drawn out of storage by warmer weather

Kelowna's mechanics and car detailers hope the weather keeps getting warmer.
That's because car enthusiasts are eager to bring their summer rides out of the garage and set them free on the Okanagan's winding roads and highways.
Natasha Tiffoli, owner of Bubbles Car Wash, says bays at their location on Springfield Road are already starting to fill up with all kinds of high-performance vehicles.
That includes everything from customised trucks, European roadsters and vintage American muscle cars.
"We had a really nice '57 Thunderbird in the other day and there's a run that comes from Calgary with all sorts of Porsches and Lamborghini's, there's also a guy who brings in a McLaren F1."
While she admits business has been a bit slower than usual for this time of year, she expects things will continue to pick up as the rainy days become fewer and farther between.
She adds not all of the cars and trucks that will be tuned up and detailed for the Okanagan driving season have BC license plates attached.
"A big part of our exotic car business comes from Alberta, with customers who drive their summer vehicles here."
"Sometimes we see them more than we do at our Alberta stores."
Next week's weather forecast for the Central Okanagan calls for mostly sunny days and highs around 20 degrees.
