West Kelowna RCMP take down two grow-ops

Two separate grow operations were taken down by West Kelowna RCMP on Wednesday.
A total of 1,300 marihuana plants were discovered in the homes along with an electrical bypass.
Police are calling both grow-ops sophisticated.
The first search at a residence on the 2300 block of Boucherie Road netted 528 plants.
The second search of a home on the 1100 block of Michael Drive turned up 823 plants.
All were in various stages of growth
No one was home at either residence.
Police are still investigating and will be recommending possible charges of theft of electricity as well as production of a controlled substance against a number of suspects.
