Dreamlift creator moves on

6/12/2012

It's time for a new challenge.

That is the reasoning behind John Tietzen's decision to sell his nine Wendy's restaurants in the Southern Interior.

But just what that challenge will be isn't yet known, but Tietzen guarantees he will be back in the food service industry.

"Not at this moment, but I do know this I will end up in the restaurant industry in some way.  My early background was with Keg restaurants for many years, I brought Little Cesar's Pizza to the Southern Interior back in the early 90's.  I'm now also the co-owner of the Township 7 Winery in Naramata."

One of the parts of the deal included the continuation of Wendy's Dreamlift Day which raises money to send children suffering from life-threatening illnesses to Disneyland.

This year the fundraiser surpassed the $1-million dollar mark.
