For those of you that don't know, Derek Scott is actually my real name, but I do also have a last name. "A last name, what is it?" you might ask. It's the final one of my three names, but that's not important right now. If you understood that reference, we can be friends forever. If not, that's ok, we'll get there.
I'm an Edmonton boy who moved to Kelowna in the new year to work at the coolest station in the world, Sun FM. My parents, Pam and Bill, raised me to be a respectful fella who always puts my all into everything I do, and taught me and to never give up. In E-Town I hosted and produced a hip hop radio show called The Evil Petting Zoo, which I did for 13 years before I came to K-Town. I'm also an accomplished mix DJ and audio producer who has been in the radio biz for well over a decade. Hope this makes us pals now.
