The boys of The Wanted have stirred up quite a storm of controversy after calling Christina Aguilera "a total b----." 

Now, they've tried to clarify their initial statements that The Voice judge "wouldn't even look at [them]" by telling TMZ "We shouldn't have said it, to be honest with you. We just think manners cost nothing, you know what I mean? The rest of the judges were really nice, and she didn't even walk over to us and talk to us. We apologize for the comment."

During the original interview where their opinions surfaced in the first place, they were asked to compare their interactions with Aguilera on The Voice, to an earlier meeting with Idol judge, Jennifer Lopez.... and the boys had NOTHING but NICE things to say about her... even openly pining for her hand in marriage backstage. 

After almost all of The Wanted's members tweeted about their encounter with J.Lo... it's clear they're smitten. 

 "Yeah, well J.Lo's hot, Christina's nothing special," recounts The Wanted's Max George to an NYC radio station last week. 

It isn't the first time Xtina's been criticized for her 'ice-queen' ways, even recently coming under fire for allegedly snubbing Justin Bieber when he went in for a hug during an appearance on The Voice, and for her harsh comments towards former Mickey Mouse Club Co-star and Voice contestant, Tony Lucca. 

It would seem the writing is on the wall, Ms. Aguilera...
