Sept Long... Our LAST Weekend!

Hey guys!!

Carly and I had a great long weekend and we hope you did too!

We checked out the IPE (which was insane!) and hung out with a ton of our sponsors. We met up with a bunch of listeners both on land and out on the water in our regal 2100RX and our Mini Countryman and hooked them up with lots of free stuff, it was great. If you were one of the lucky listeners that got some of that free swag congrats! If not, well, why not! We were all over, no excuses ;)

Big thanks to all of our sponsors for giving us all the great prizing throughout the summer, the listeners and us thank you! Shout out to Okanagan Skydive Adventures for letting the adventure team jump out of a plane too! It was crazy!!

What a Wild Weekend!

Holy Moly! Kyle and I had such an amazing weekend out and about in the Okanagan!

Friday we cruised over to McScoots just of the highway 97 to test out some speedy scooters! We ripped around Kelowna and gave a few lucky listeners some freebies from our sponsors! Later that night we had the privilege of hosting music in the park out in West Kelowna, Shawn Hook was the headlining act with David Blair starting off the show! The music was great and we had tons of fun!

Saturday was another busy day for us. We started it of at the Booster Juice in Capri mall, smoothies were the perfect breakfast to get us going for our busy day! After that we headed to the Kelowna Family Ymca in Rutland to check out the Summer Splash event where we grabbed some BBQ for lunch, jumped on the bouncy castle and slid down the HUGE inflatable slide! After the fun we decided to tone it down a bit and check out the Moksha Yoga open house on Pandosy. from 10-6 they were set up outside giving away free massages and healthy treats all while being serenaded by some soothing live music.

Sunday morning Kyle jumped on our Regal 2100RX and took our friend, April, from SunFM in Pentiction. They cruised around Okanagan Lake while i drove up to Lake Country to check out the Customs and Classics Car show! And in the afternoon we summoned our inner Tarzan and climbed the trees, and swung from the ropes out at Wild Play Adventure Park! We had such a blast, got a killer work out and challenged our fears up in the air!

Hey Guys!

We hope you had an amazing weekend and got to check out some of the fun events going on around the Okanagan! On Friday I got the chance to sail over Okagagan lake thanks to the team from Kelowna Jetboat and Parasail Adventures while kyle hit the beaches with tons of free swag from our awesome sponsors. On Saturday we joined in on the Pride week celebrations down at Mission Creek park! We got to checfk out some fabulous live acts as well as the adorable pooches on parade! In the afternoon Kyle jumped on the boat with some Moxies gals while I cruised up to the IGA in glenmore to grab a hot dog, hang out with Saftey Sammy and to support the Cops For Kids foundation. Myself along with the Cops for Kids gang were pumpin the tunes and having a blast raising money for kids in need. Sunday was another fun filled day! Kyle jumped on our Beautiful Regal 2100RX to cruise the lake bright and early with some friends from Booster Juice while I headed over to West Kelowna to check out The 2012 Endless Summer Bash at the Cove Lakeside Resort! It was a family friendly event with tons to do for both grown ups and the little ones. I was having so much fun in the Kids Zone and playing in the Boucy Castle but I managed to pull myself away long enough to check out some of the great live musicians playing throughout the day! If you haven't entered the Loose Moose contest yet you better hurry, we still have tons of Loose Moose to give away so make sure to ask for one when you see us out and about! It is the easiest and Funnest way to win yourself a seasons pass to Big White so don't miss out!

Hey everyone!

Kyle here, Carly and I had an amazing weekend and we hope you guys did as well. The sun was shining for the whole weekend and there was tons of stuff going on. We spent a lot of time out on the boat hanging around with all you lovely boaters and gave away hundreds of prizes to people. Remember, if you're out on the water at all between the hours of 9-5 Friday-Sunday make sure you're keeping an eye out for the Sun FM boat out and about Lake Okanagan, if you see us don't forget to wave your arms off and chase us down for some sweet swag, we usually come up to other boats but if we see you making an initiative to stop us we'll give you even MORE swag.

We had a blast out at the block party downtown yesterday, Bernard Ave was closed down from Richter all the way to the sails so that vendors could set up all sorts of different booths and food stands for you guys to enjoy. There were three stages with a ton of different music performances from acoustic, jazz, electronic and everything in between. The dog agility course was also really cool, I was hanging around that area all day so I saw both performances. There were pooches from all different breeds, ages, sizes etc jumping over obstacles, running through tunnels and running over teeter totters, it was pretty cool.

Today we had a bunch of people from our office out on the boat as well as some of our sponsors. We got to take a bunch of the staff from Booster Juice out on the boat and they were nice enough to bring a lot of stuff from their stores! Hopefully you were one of the lucky people who got hooked up.

I also got to go check out the jet boat with Kelowna Jet boat Adventures and Parasail! Thanks to the boys for getting me out on that thing, it was really cool to do 360's in a boat, didn't know they were capable of doing that sort of stuff. Make sure you go try it out some time before the summer is over, you can find them under their tent right by the sails downtown. They do sea-doo's, jet boat rides and parasail rides, tell them the Sun Adventure team sent ya!

August Long Weekend!

Holy Moly what a weekend! I hope you all enjoyed the fantastic weather and had some fun this August long!

Kyle and I spent all weekend, both on land and on the water, checking out Center of Gravity! We had a blast and got our tan on at the sweetest beach party ever! There was so much going on and we were able to check out the BMXing, cheer on some volleyball stars as well as here some amazing artists rock out on stage! There was no lack of entertainment this weekend, City park was full of music and the sports zones were always packed of atheletes showing of their skills! The temperature just seemed to get hotter and hotter so we kept the crowd cool with some fancy super soakers, I'd have to say my aim was pretty good by Sunday afternoon. Hopefully you were able to snag some sweet giveaways from us this weekend. We loved seeing the Sapphire sunglasses on all you stylin people! We gave some Loose Moose toys away too! Hey Guys! What an amazing weekend we had out and about in the Okanagan sunshine!

On friday we showed some Canadian pride down at Boomers Bar and Grill for the opening ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympics! We had a blast down there with the crew from Big White and our pal Loose Moose! We were lucky enough to snap a photo with Loose Moose and you can too! If you haven't heard yet, Big White’s Loose Moose is on the move! The Loose Moose is all over town this summer and he wants to join your summer adventures! Take a photo of the Loose Moose while you are out and about this summer and share it on your Facebook page. On Saturday morning we headed down to Waterfront park to Cheer on the Astral High Frequency Team at the Kelowna Dragon Boat Festival! We spent the morning soaking up some sun and stamping passers by with some SunFM tattoos! After watching the Astral team cross the finish line in their second race we Cruised down to elks stadium to catch a thrilling game of baseball. We watched as the Okanagan A's challenged the Abbotsford Cardinals in a match to snag a spot in the finals. The game was close in the first few innings but the Okanagan A's ended up taking the win! Congratulations A's! To wrap up our Saturday we enjoyed some fantastic treats at the Taste of Downtown! We were treated to samples from eateries and drinkeries from all over Downtown, and although we didn't get to taste everything we enjoyed every little nibble! We spoke to some others who took part in the afternoon and they said they managed to snag tastes from 27 of the 29 stops! By the end of the afternoon downtown was flooded with full bellies and happy faces. Everyone gathered in Kerry park for the Parks Alive family fun event where we were entertained with some great live music and performances.

Sunday was another jam packed day. We cruised back to the Dragon Boat Festival to cheer on the Astral team as they completed their final race. Then we took our tattoos and give aways over to the Booster Juice on KLO and Gordon. We spent the afternoon hanging out with the Booster Juice team and giving away some treats to the listeners that came by! After our lunchtime fun at Booster Juice, we Jumped on the SunFM boat with the girls from Moxies Bar and Grill to soak us some sun and hand out some gift cards to others out on the water. Some boaters were even lucky enough to go home with some free wings! We wrapped up our day down at CNC for the Rockets Alumni hockey game. We were set up just outside the main doors giving tons of prizes away to those who came out. We also got to meet some hockey greats including Kyle Mcleod, Tyler Myers and Blake Comeau! It was so cool to have these guys back on some Kelowna ice!

Just a quick recap of what Carly and I got up to this weekend! Friday we were pretty rained out, couldn’t get out on the boat at all so we re-booked our boat-day with the Moxie girls for a later day. On Saturday we got waist deep in cherries at the 17^th Annual Cherry Fair. We tasted over 20 different kinds of cherries (who knew there were that many cherries?!) and tried out some amazing different cherry treats. Bright and early we took part in the Okanagans largest outdoor yoga class. Over 400 people came out to the events fourth year running and helped raise money and food for the Kelowna Food Bank. Shawn Hook was serenading us with his beautiful music while participants enjoyed the 90 minute class, if you want more info on the event check out OranjFitness.com! To end the day Saturday we went to Caribbean Fest which took place right by the water in City Park. We enjoyed some really great Caribbean music, food, dance and lots of people took advantage of the free hair braiding. Sunday was all about Ford and boats, we started out by heading to the 6^th annual Ford Show and Shine, the largest in B.C. We saw cars from the 30’s all the way to present day, from thunderbirds to mustangs, custom hot rods to Shelby’s, it was a great show. After that we went off to the boat and picked up some of the ladies from Booster Juice and handed out a ton of give-aways from all our sponsors. Thanks to all the listeners who came and found us out in about either in our Mini Countryman or Regal 2100RX and I hope you enjoy your prizes! J

Carly and I had a fantastic time this weekend all over the Okanagan. We checked out some really awesome events and met a lot of our great listeners while on location at those events. Congrats to everyone who got some of our free prizes!!!

Friday we were helping out the BCSPCA with their Paws for a Cause BBQ fundraiser right by the landmark buildings. It was great to see so many people being so supportive, there were even a lot of people who had just finished their lunch but stopped by regardless just to make a donation. Thanks! Check out http://www.spca.bc.ca/ for more ways you can help or even how to get involved. We also went to say hey to our friends at Kelowna Mini to let them know how much we LOVE our Mini Countryman. If you've never been in a Mini Cooper or Countryman you owe it to yourself to head on over to Kelowna Mini and take a look, they really are beautiful cars, hey, take one for a spin! I'm sure you'll love the turbo just as much as Carly and I do! ;) After checking in with them we were off to Moxies for dinner, what a way to end a shift. Carly had a delicious looking tuna dish and I had a steak dinner, sooooo delicious. If you're looking to take someone out to a nice dinner head on over to Moxies, you can even turn any entree into a three course meal for just 5 bucks!

Saturday was insanely busy with lots of events going on around Kelowna. First thing in the morning I (Kyle) jumped in the Regal 2100RX Sun FM Boat and ripped over to the Interior Savings Across the Lake Swim. This year marked the 64th year of the swim! Incredible! With lots of new swimmers and seasoned vets it was an all round success. There were competitors from 10 years old all the way to... well... older ;) Carly was checking out the GranFondo for most of the day which was a 122km bike race with people ages 8-72 competing! From there the two of us met up and headed over to Peachland for Dancin' Barefoot, a music festival that took place right by the water in Peachland.

Sunday was a little more mellow, in the morning we hopped in the Mini Countryman and went to check out some pot belly pigs, emus, birds, wallabies and kangaroos at Kangaroo Creek Farms in Lake Country. The site is run by one really dedicated family and is by donation. For whatever you can afford you can go and hang out with all sorts of awesome animals and even hold an albino wallabies! Too cool.

What an awesome weekend! The first weekend we've had with NO rain, perfect!

We checked out the Kelowna Futures tennis tournament all weekend long where we saw pro tennis players competing for $15,000 in prize money, there were some great matches. The tournament is ending today, we hope everyone had a blast either playing or spectating. Big shout out to Johnny V for being so friendly and entertaining.

This weekend was also Keloha Music Festival. everyone was enjoying the sun, music, vendors and of course the beach. There were two stages rocking out the entire weekend providing an amazing atmosphere for people of all ages to enjoy some great local and international talent.

If you saw us out on the boat I hope you're happy with your swag, we handed out a TON of stuff to all sorts of people throughout the weekend and had a blast doing it. With all the sunshine out there it was good to see so many people taking advantage of it and hopping in their boat to enjoy.

Happy Birthday Canada!

Holy moley Batman,

What a weekend Carly and I had. I hope you all had a fantastic weekend like we did, Mother Nature was fairly kind to us and provided a beautiful Sunday evening right up until the fireworks. Hopefully you got some of our free swag we were giving away all weekend long. A huge thanks to all our sponsors for providing us with all the amazing product we gave away.

We checked out some really awesome events this weekend and there's no way I can blog about all of them so I'm going to go over some of the highlights.

Friday was the kick-off to the West Side Daze festivities, we saw some very talented people perform different types of shows from music, dance, magic all the way to freestyle motocross.

We were in the West Side Daze parade on Saturday which was a total blast! We handed out so much stuff and had a blast in the wet zone, I even had a lady (seeking revenge) open up my passenger door and throw some water balloons INSIDE our Mini Countryman! Unbelieveable, I'm bringing reinforcement next year lady... We, will, get, you. Hope you all had fun at the parade like we did.

Sunday was Canada Day! We were all over the place for the entire day. We spent some time at the Parkinson Rec Center for the Kelowna Futures Tennis Tournament in the morning then hit the water on our Regal 2100RX. One of us stayed in the boat for the remainder of the day while the other was wandering around town checking out all the concessions and music going on. I spent the night at the Youth Stage powered by 99.9 Sun FM where we had three amazing performances. The set started out with Sterling, a local alternative rock group that really had some unique sound. After that we brought DJ EEZY up on stage to play some amazing dance tunes while Free my Soul danced their hearts out. After the dancers tired themselves out it was a free for all. We had some awesome spectators turn performers and then eventually we just had a giant group of people dancing away, it was really awesome. As soon as that was over the fireworks went off and the festivities ended for us. We really hope you had a great time at the Sun FM Youth stage, I know I did.
